The heavy industries are exposed to a lot of risks such as environmental risks, legal exposure, financial and safety risks which will ultimately affect the operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness and even the reputation of the organisation. The recent incident in the Gulf of Mexico has increased the awareness and importance of process safety for heavy industries.

Operators are under increasing pressure to put a proactive safety strategy in place with high standards both technically and within personnel. Governments, regulatory bodies and associations have a heightened focus on safety as the industry progresses to reduce the risk of further catastrophe. It is vital for companies from heavy industries to balance profit with risk assessment and safety while adapting to this challenging and changing landscape.

ProSafe – Process Safety for Heavy Industries will bring participants to look into the challenges facing each of the stakeholders in the industry, explore latest developments, investigate strategy and look at case study and examples from a regional and international perspective that encourages creative idea generations and executions. This conference is created to assist organisations in establishing a safety culture in light of the major disasters that have occurred in the past which caused large scale fatality and damages. Such creation can only be attained by close interaction with major players from local and international arena.
