Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) is the implementation programme to ensure the continuity of safety at work. Through promoting concepts of “safety culture” and proven management techniques, BBS has almost always resulted in a positive step in changing safety performance and safety attitudes. The most recent evidence suggests, yearly reductions in accident rates when BBS is implemented into the HSE Department.
This forum will be based on its predecessor’s much success and look into new dimensions in promoting safety culture in multicultural workforce. The Integration of BBS into he HSE Management System and the importance of occupational hygienists in the manufacturing industry will also be analyzed. It is for a fact that humans are prone to make errors and such errors are either caused by unsafe behavior or poor working equipment and environment.
