The Middle East has the largest oil reserves in the world, yet many fields have not been exploited to their full potential. The volatile oil price is driving the energy industry to optimize production of the region’s vast reserves. Effective application of production technologies and EOR strategies are being employed to maximize recovery.
Oilfield technologies and real time data are helping both short term interventions and long term strategies. Horizontal wells, water alternating with gas flooding and new research in tubular applications are some of the more recent production optimization initiatives. Combined with better surface and water management, enhanced ESP longevity and efficient gas injection, production process te-chnologies are being revisited for better EOR. Heavy oil is another area using EOR to increase commercially available oil.
Leading on from the success of the inaugural session in Abu Dhabi, IQPC is pleased to introduce Production Optimization Middle East - Kuwait. This exclusive interactive forum will offer a platform for industry leaders to discuss the latest challenges, strategies and solutions associated with maximizing petroleum extraction.
