Worked for three and a half years as a multi discipline inspector with Waha oil company where it is one of the leading oil and gas production companies in Libya, with four major oil and gas fields.

Summary of experience:

2003 To 2004
Welding inspector /Supervisor during construction of two new water disposal systems:
Duties included: Overseeing welding was according to procedures; Checking fit up prior to welding; consumables checking; material verification; welding equipment is validated; repairs are according to repair procedure and inspection of completed welds. Also engaged in NDT of completed welds using MT and UT methods.

Painting/coating inspector of the finished disposal systems:
Duties included: keeping adequate and accurate records of all stages of work being carried out, material used, ambient condition, surface preparation method used and requirements, DFT measurement, all other integrity inspections and submitting daily reports always on time.

Visual and integrity inspector:
Job involved visual inspection of Separators, dehydrators, degassers and determining that the requirements of the standard on inspection, examination and testing are met when an inspection or repair on a pressure vessel is conducted.

2002 To 2003
Multi discipline inspector during the over haul of two floating roof tanks (capacity~500,000 bbls) at Es-sider tank farm. Inspection included, internal visual inspection and the control of welding of replacement floor plates and annular rings; visual inspection of completed welds; pressure testing of roof drains; leak testing of the roof compartments; MT of in-tank fittings; UT of tank shell plates and interpretation of annular ring radiographs. Adding to which, supervised and monitored the application of the protective coating of the tank externally and internally, and the job involved, checking the painting system used, cleaning method, DFT; application of the internal G.R.P and all other subsequent tests e.g. visual inspection, holiday detection

2001-2002
Senior inspector with responsibility of monitoring and supervision of all welding and NDT processes included in the construction of new Gas station with its accompanying gas lines. A major part of the works was to ensure the application of welding procedures and welding inspection of a 24” gas line which is designated to transfer gas from Farag station to 103A Oxidental Company station where it has to traverse a distance of ~60km. NDT using UT, MT and PT was also undertaken on the pipeline and the gas station.

Education:

• Graduated from the Libyan Specific Centre for Training on Oil Industries, in which spent three years studying different oil disciplines, with a Diploma in technical inspection and a general grade of very good.

• Attained on further training and upgraded skills by training in the TWI (The welding institute) for one year and from whence several qualifications were awarded in most of the inspection disciplines.
