Design of the Chemetics pressure process plant for manufacture of sulphuric acid.

Attached to the plant in Thika where i designed a new section in the plant to reduce toxic gas emissions and thus increasing efficiency.

Duties:
Manufacturing section; sulphuric acid manufacture, aluminium sulphate manufacture, single super-phosphate fertilizer manufacture, sodium sulphate manufacture.
Q.A. Lab; performed various analysis methods.
Workshop; tools and machinery including maintenance

Kenya Shell Limited/ BP Kenya Limited
worked in the Mombasa Oil Terminal in 2002

Duties:
Siding/Drum filling; White/Black oil and Jet A1/Avgas filling for major customers
Lube Oil Blending Plant; Materials Requirement Planning, Production Activities i.e. blending and filling,
Quality Assurance; Handling of materials in accordance to HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) policy, and carried out various QC tests and occasionally offered corrective measures to the production foremen.
Dispatch Activities; delivery modes and documentation and successfully handled the orders of major customers like Magadi Soda, Geita Gold Mining, Del Monte, Pan African Paper Mills among others
Lube Stores; arrangement and stock control
LPG Supplies; cylinder filling
Tank farm/Bunkering; product receipts
Workshop; maintenance

Mumias sugar company
worked at the plant in 2002, where I was in the manufacturing section and the laboratory dealing with quality control and played a role in the installation of the water recycling plant.

Grade obtained- Upper second-class honours
Completed studies in Chemical and Process Engineering at Moi University in Eldoret Kenya (Bachelor of Technology) and graduated in December 8th 2004.

„X Personally designed and implemented a cob-crushing machine thus made it easier for farmers to have animal feed during the dry seasons.
Volunteer community service
Participant in the freedom from hunger walk. Regular volunteer for hospital visits. Actively involved in environmental conservation, both within and around college, and also in my locality by planting trees and cleaning up of the market areas in town.

Sports
Represented both my high school and university athletics teams up to the provincial and national levels respectively in discuss and shot-put throwing where I was second in the East and Central African university games held in Tanzania.
