• Supervising all maintenance and troubleshooting activities of power generation gas turbines (up to 25 MW, 11 KV) , Electrical substations , Emergency diesel generators ,Electrical Motors , Gas compressors , Cathodic protection.
• Preparations and ordering of spare parts as well as co-ordination with ‘Materials Dept’. re control of spare parts stock level through estimating and revising annual consumption.
• Raising spare parts requisitions to cover major shutdowns also inspection for spares and materials received by the warehouse.
• Preparations for annual budget proposals required for both planned and repair work.
• Preparation for major job budgeting re electrical equipment suggested plant modifications.
• Ensuring the application of HSE safety rules and loss control during the work.
• Participate in major overhauls for gas turbines.
• Propose and review the plant modification requests raised by other operations departments to solve the operations problems.
• Participate in many major shutdowns for addition/replacing field new equipment
• Participate in the inspection and failure analysis for medium voltage motor of 1.8 MW and witness the complete performance tests at Laurence Scott Factory Norwich (UK).
