National Drilling Company, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Position:Procurement Supervisor, Commercial Division.
From 02 March 1992 to 16th July 2005 (13 Years) with National Drilling Company (NDC), Abu Dhabi in the Procurement /Commercial Department.

National Drilling Company (NDC) is a fully owned subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC). NDC is the one and only drilling contractor in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi offering a wide range of exploration, drilling & workover service as well as auxiliary drilling services, such as wire-line services, multipurpose supply vessels etc. NDC’s fleet spreads over a span of 11 offshore rigs, 19 onshore rigs, 2 multipurpose supply vessels with all auxiliary equipments like cranes, heavy earthmovers, dozers, tractors, generators etc.

NDC having a large Warehouse boards wide variety of spares and equipment used for the day-to-day operation of NDC oil rigs. Nearly 120 thousand line items are in the stock, movement of which are now controlled with the MM Module on SAP.

I had joined in NDC as a buyer in the Procurement Division. In 2002 I was promoted to Procurement Supervisor and my work area expands to more areas.

Position:Sales Executive

This firm worked with the domestic appliance division of a large local group of companies. It involved in the sales of domestic appliances. The division has a number of contracts with major oil companies and government departments in the region. My job was ultimately answerable to Commercial Manager and General Manager.

Initially employed as a Sales Representative in 1977 selling the range of domestic appliances to companies and general public. In 1981 promoted to Supervisor and then in 1985, I was promoted to as a Sales executive / Showroom in-charge.

: (B.Sc.) Bachelor of Science from the Kerala University, India in 1974 with subjects - Physics (main), Chemistry and Mathematics.
