Electrical Engineer

Working on detailed engineering of ACG project which is an oil & gas extraction, processing & pumping plant for Azeri, Chirag and Gunashli (ACG) fields located in the Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea, approximately 120km south east of Baku.

Responsibilities include,

1. Detailed engineering for phase I & II of ACG full field development involving following acivities:

• Preparation of Single Line Diagrams, Control & Indication Schedules and Electrical Schematics & Interconnection Diagrams for HV & LV switchboards. Review of switchgear supplier drawing & documents.
• System studies involving load flow, short circuit & harmonics studies for Sangachal Terminal generation & distribution system on ETAP.
• Engineering calculations like cable sizing, earthing & lightning protection etc.
• Study of circulating currents in generator & transformer neutral connections.
• Preparation of emergency and black start power philosophy with switching sequence details of diesel generator and auxiliaries / utilities in order to start up one of the gas turbine generators. And also prepared sequence to restore distribution system to normal operation after black start.
• Preparation OLTC control philosophy & multi incomer switchboard operating philosophy.
• Handling of mechanical packages including gas compressor, instrument air system, inert gas system, sand separation, oil heaters, flare facility systems & fuel gas heaters.
• Coordination of heat tracing, cathodic protection, UPS & HVAC packages.
• Preparation of Electrical load list and site modification packages for electrical switchboards.
• Preparation of earthing philosophy diagrams.
• Coordination with client, site, vendor & UK office.
• Preparation & tracking of Design Change Notices to capture additional scope, material & jobhours.
• Jobhour control & progress review for engineering deliverables.
• Procurement support for electrical & mechanical packages.
• Peak load profile study for 25 years of operation.
• Participation in Electrical Safety and Operability Review (SAFOP)
