Professional Seismic/Geophysical Specialist with extensive international (Middle East, North Africa and North America) experience. 18 years of work experience in the field of seismic exploration including 2D and 3D seismic project planning and survey design, acquisition QC and crew supervision, data processing and QC, tender preparation and evaluation, technical study and software testing. Highly experienced in technical supervision and quality control of 2D and 3D seismic projects worldwide. Experience in supervising contractors. Experience in a number of commercial packages for seismic imaging, reservoir geophysics and prospect generation with a good knowledge of the latest tools and techniques. Strong theoretical background in seismic data processing and acquisition techniques as well as reservoir characterization workflows. Knowledge of AVO/HCI analysis, inversion, reservoir geophysics, velocity modeling, and pore pressure prediction techniques. Strong familiarity with land seismic operations, techniques and methodologies of most international contractors and oil companies.

Computer literate with extensive working experience of both geophysical and geological software applications.

Survey design/Acquisition QC: OMNI Design and Analysis (for noise analysis), SQC (for data quality), 3Dacq (for acquisition QC), Lookout software (for independent vibrator analysis), Surfer (for mapping and general layout)
Seismic processing, AVO and inversion: Paradigm’s Disco/Focus, GeoDepth, Probe, Vanguard, Stratimagic, Coherence Cube and Seismic Attributes; Promax; SeisUp; Insight; Vista; Qsolve; GRIsys and other proprietary software packages. Hampson-Russell’s GLI,; PGS’s STRATUS and GMG’s Fathom.
Seismic interpretation and mapping: Paradigm’s SeisX, SeisEarth, Explorer and VoxelGeo; GeoQuest’s IESX, GeoViz, Charisma and GeoFrame; Landmark’s GeoProbe; LogM, PICS, WinPICs, Seisvision, GeoSyn, Panther SDL for Landmark workstation, Zeh mapping and Geo-X’s in-house interpretation package HORIZON.

Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access). Experience in FORTRAN, REXX and UNIX programming. Excellent skill in UNIX (IBM, SUN and Silicon Graphics) and window-based operating systems, as well as Oracle database.
