Professional Experience
Guaranteed the correct operation of the platform systems and equipments. Managed a Distributed Control system. Realized the continuous monitoring of Emergency Shutdown and the Fire and Gas System. Authorized “to take action and inform” In case of emergency, (if needed stopped process and report to superior). Operated the Production Platform (MPP) facilities, meeting the design criteria and the Operation procedures. Reported daily production figures. Operated resources as per design criteria and environmental regulations. If required, adjusted controls to prevent unnecessary gas flaring/emissions and reported possible operational conditions causing these events.
•Developed screen with historical tendency in PI Process Book, to anticipate well closing, reducing production deferment from 150 bopd to 20 bopd.
•Involved in Gas Lift Extension Platform and Gas Sweetening Unit commissioning. Start up procedure: no leaks, safety sequence, starting the two new compressors before the target and in normal parameters.
•Reduced the daily production deferment from 600 barrels of oil per day to 50 bopd by stabilizing the gas header in plant to maintain 4 compressors operating.
•Controlled the levels in the gas sweetening unit and reduced the content of H2S in the gas treated about 25 ppm /5 ppm.
•Reduced the oil consumption in the vapor recovery unit by updating the shutdown procedure manual. Reached lower the oil consumption from 1 drum/week to 1 drum/month.
•Established Sulphur load procedure, assuring the operative continuity and avoiding a deferment of 30 Kbop d and the flaring of 20 tons of SO2.
•Implemented procedure for the drainage of the fuel gas system of the boiler, reducing the liquid carry-over and avoiding a deferment of 500 bopd and the gas flaring of 20MMscf/d.
•Fitted the nitrogen purge during acid gas main burner starting in Sulphur recovery unit, therefore it ignited was reduced the emissions of 20 tons of SO2.
•HSE Employee of the Month. April/2004.
