I had taken up a Contract work with this company for over a period of 6 months mainly to take the Company through the process of Tendering for two major projects which involved the Supply and Installation of Site Offices and all basic facilities required for the complete project time period. The two clients were DUBAL and Department of Civil Aviation. The two projects were one for the new airport facility at Jebel Ali and the other was for the extension of the exisisting facilities at Dubal - Potline 6B.

I had two Q.S. working under my supervision, one was incharge of a remeasurable project with Nakheel and the other for the Lumpsum Projects with Clients as EMAAR, Ministry of Labour and other private clients too. I was responsible to approve from the Contractors side for all variations, payments with both the Clients and Sub Contractors after discussions with the Commercial Manager. I was also incharge of the preparation of the Company Turn over reports amounting to Aed 400M and the cash flow reports for each project under me. Also I was to assist the Commercial Manager in the preparation of the Claims for Extension of Time and associated costs under the provisions of the Conditions of Contract for each project which were in some cases similar to FIDIC.
