My objective is to develop and broaden my experience and expertise in both technical and interpersonal skills and realise the potential I believe I have for further career advancement.

I have been a Design Engineer for a few years in the mechanical/piping fields.
I have been running my own designers/draughtsmen teams working on numerous projects.
My involvement in doing my job consists of the liasoning with the client from the first concept through to the fabrication and installation of the project within this involves:
- Ensuring Company specifications and standards are kept.
- Attending and co-ordinating progress report meetings.
- Undertaking survey work.
- Ensuring that drafting standards are kept and standards met.
- Identifying and resolving issues arising with the applications of standards.
- Generating Company documentation such as outline installation method statements, risk assessments, residual risks etc.
- Ensuring that budgets and time scales are kept.
- Working to work scopes.
- Preparing estimates in view to work scopes and deliverables.
I have been in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical all my working life and I also have experience in the nuclear industry in design, specialising in the construction and inspection works in piping and mechanical disciplines working to European and American ASME B31.3.ANSI Piping Standards. I am willing to work anywhere in Britain or Overseas.
I am willing to work away. I have been working away from home for the last 4/5 years.
I am English, married and I am available to start on a 1 week notice period.
I have had Lead experience from the fabrication & construction side of things for approximately 17 years, and can oversee the installation and fabrication of work ensuring that standards are met.

• AutoCAD 2004, 2000i & LT, 2D & 3D etc.
• Production of Paperwork such as Risk Assesment, Residual Risks, Outlined Installation Method Statements, Quality plans and programmes etc.,
• Microsoft Word Excel.
• Familiar with ASME B31.3.ANSI Piping Standards.
• Solid Modelling 2D & 3D.(Working to site standards & modern working practices) Pipework/Mechanical design inc. layouts/Isometrics Drawings, G.A.s, Fabrication Drawings etc.
• Checking drawings and liaison with other departments, suppliers and customers.
• Working in accordance with client’s standards and specifications and document control.
• Piping, Structural and Mechanical Draughting & Design.
• Review and update technical drawings for the installations and ensure conformity of the as-built status with the design and technical requirement.
• Site surveying of existing facilities to establish and identify the actual requirements.
• Knowledge of international Code and standards in Piping/Mechanical fields and general knowledge of other disciplines.
• Management of running design/draughtsman teams.
• Working within budgets and time scales.
