To relocate to the Gulf and handle independant plant inspections (both routine & shutdown)

‘Manager – Inspection & Corrosion’ in the World’s largest grass-root refinery of Reliance Industries Limited, at Jamnagar, INDIA. Presently involved in Inspection of all static equipment like LPG spheres, columns, heat exchangers, boilers, reactors, pressure vessels, safety relief valves and piping at the Aromatics complex, Captive Power plant and the Rail & Road tank farm. Job also involves inspection of specialized equipment like Platformer reactors, CCR, In the shutdown of September 2004, inspection of these reactors was carried out besides inspection of about 40 pressure vessels, 65 heat exchangers and 5 columns was carried out. Monthly TRIPOD (Operations, Technical services, Inspection) meetings are held and plant performance is discussed with respect to corrosion taking place in various loops in the plant. Inspection frequencies are fixed for various loops and based on plant performance, the inspection is carried out. Any corrosion observed is recorded in a computerized recording system and the reasons analyzed. Cathodic protection for tanks and piping in the plant being monitored

1. Graduate (B.E) in Mechanical Engineering from Bharathidasan University, Tamil Nadu State, India.

2. Post Graduate (M.E) in Welding Engineering from the prestigious Regional Engineering College (now called National Institute of Technology), Trichy, Tamil Nadu State, India.

1. ASNT qualifications in RT, UT (Level-II). Also uses other NDT techniques like DPT, MPI in daily jobs.
2. Certified Level-II Thermographer from the Academy of Infra-Red Thermography (AIRT), Canada
3. Completed successfully the ‘Advanced Refinery Corrosion Course’ conducted by M/s Shell Global Solutions at Reliance, Jamnagar, in November 2004.

4. Proficient with ASTM, ASME/ANSI, TEMA, NACE standards.

5. Computer literacy includes all Microsoft Office functions and the application software like SAP-R/3, CIMS (Corrosion & Inspection Management System), etc.

6. Completed the `Certified Welding Inspector’s course’ (with A Grade) held by the Welding Research Institute (WRI), BHEL, Trichy, at Reliance, Jamnagar in May 2005

1. Graded "Very Good" for three years in a row.
2. Trained in SAP-R/3 PM/MM module by SAP-AG (in-house at Reliance)
3. Completed UOP’s course on Parex Adsorbent chambers and Platformer reactor in July 2005 at Jamnagar
