MAJOR TASKS BEING UNDERTAKEN/SUPERVISED:
ƒô During planning/conceptual stage of the Project various type of feasibility cost estimates.
ƒô Economic evaluation incorporating cost of production, profitability analysis, breakeven point, net present value and internal rate of return.
ƒô Technology/licensor evaluation from commercial angle for various types of processes and plants.
ƒô Optimisation/economic studies to select the least expensive process route
for the equipment.
ƒô Necessary assistance/ support to owner for obtaining approval from government / financial institutions.
ƒô During actual execution of the project.
ƒô Preparation of detail Project Reports and Control Cost Estimates.
ƒô Preparation of annual budget, cost forecast, expenditure schedule and their profiles.
ƒô Analysis and evaluation of local and foreign contractor's proposals.
ƒô Review/ analysis of extra claims for field work, shop work and design/ engineering and recommendations thereof.
ƒô Control of costs at pre ordering stage by evaluation of vendor's/ contractor's costs against approved estimates, analysis of cost differences, negotiation with the contractors to achieve least cost for the equipment / package and discussions of other remedial measures.
ƒô Periodic cost status and cost monitoring reports, with analysis of cost trends, Review and evaluation of change orders.
ƒô Evaluation of funding schedule submitted by the contractors and providing necessary recommendations to the owner so that it helps in the efficient utilisation of funds.
ƒô Monitoring and control of Home Office and field office man hours and construction labour costs.
Cost completion reports for the completed/ commissioned
projects.

Computer Skills

Experienced with IBM PC compatible spreadsheets, Excel & word processor packages. Experience of other packages for cost estimating and risk analysis, MS Project. Conversant using Quest estimating software.
