Lead Pipelines Engineering & Planning Engineer

pipelines facilities planning and designing, preparation of design basis scoping paper for detail design and project execution. The objective is to provide advice, consultation, and recommendations to formulate the corporate investment plans.

present activities and achievements (1998 onwards)
joined saudi aramco, largest oil producing company in the world, dhahran on 7th august 1998 as planning engineer in the facilities planning department, pipelines group. working as lead pipeline engineer to plan and design entire pipeline facilities of various projects.

last three year, sworking as team leader in many grassroots pipeline projects. job involves:
• brainstorming, conceptual project planning and scope development
• study of alternatives, coordinations with related studies team members
• pipeline hydraulic modeling and sizing; evaluate all options (networking, looping etc.). softwares used (pipephase, stoner)
• Finalize dbsp (design sasis scoping paper) and front end design report
• Optimization study for project economic evaluation through technical scope definition, execution strategy, schedule and life cycle cost.
• presentation to the management and obtain approval.
• issue of dbsp for project execution
• follow up with project management team during detail design and execution

past activities and achievements (1977 to 1998)
started my career in september 1977 as field production engineer in the oil and natural gas corporation (ongc), india a fortune 500 company. major activities were:
1. planning & project activities (1994 - 1998)
technical and strategic planning, economic evaluation and preparation of project feasibility reports; planning and co-ordination with consultants and engineering planning group; documentation for budgetary approval and investment clearance from govt. authorities; post-completion study of projects of projects. major project handled:-

phase-III sour gas processing expansion project
Contractor - m/s. daelim of south korea and m/s. sumitomo of japan.

Phase-IIIA sour gas processing expansion project
Contractor: m/s. hyundai heavy industries co. ltd.

softwares used: primavera and ms project.

• khursaniyah upstream and downstream pipelines for khursaniyah field development program. this includes crude, gas and ngl pipelines.
this is a multi billion dollar program. the program includes new grass-root crude oil processing plant, new gas processing plant, drilling and field development, water injection support, maintain potential and infrastructure developments.
