Project Engineer/Manager

Project Engineer/Manager (Chemical Engineer) with experience in EPC/consultancy - Petrochemical, oil, gas industry. Detailed engineering, project execution and management are primary strengths.

Have worked in an engineering consultancy firm for 7-1/2 years followed by working in an EPC firm for 7-1/2 years involved in design, manufacturing and supply of process based packages. Started off as a project engineer, now working as a project manager.

Projects executed are in the petrochemical, oil, gas & power industry. Few of these are:
- turnkey engineering of Isobutylene manufacturing plant from MTBE
- turnkey engineering of Poly Vinyl Acetate manufacturing plant
- turnkey execution of oil and chemical storage tankfarms
- revamp & upgradation of existing petrochemical plants
- design, manufacturing and supply of fuel gas conditioning packages, glycol dehydration plants, water bath heaters, emergency shutdown skids (ESD), pressure reducing sids (PRS)
- oil/gas/water separation packages like hydrocyclones, induced gas floatation units
- desalters
- amine sweetening units

Capabilities include:
- complete project execution and management
- client and sub-vendor liaisoning
- preparing project schedules, monitoring, expediting & progress reports
- detailed engineering involving preparation of P&IDs, plant layouts, equipment datasheets, equipment and utility schedules, etc.
- complete procurement activities right from tendering upto sub-vendor deliveries
- attending project technical & management meetings, HAZOP meetings, progress meetings, inspection meetings, etc.
- inter discipline co-ordination

Complete working knowledge of computers.

First Class Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering

Having worked in a consultancy as well as EPC firms, I possess good understanding of design, engineering and execution aspects. According to me this is a big advantage as interests & differences between end users, contractors and consultants are the biggest drawbacks in timely & profitable execution of projects in the present market situation.
