On completion of my education, I moved into the field of structural engineering encompassing various projects in the oil, gas and Aerospace industries

I am currently working in Dubai for the assistance of a oil company for the fabrication of a north sea platform. I wish to stay in the middle east and i am looking for a poistion of project engineer.

January 2004 to Present De-Ruyter GBS Project: Locations France, UK and Dubai:
Position Project Engineer: Seconded to the client Petro-Canada initially on the detailed design in France and Holland, before transferring to the project site office based in Dubai. Responsibilities include but are not limited to site support regarding associated engineering for structural steel, piping, cathodic protection system, electrical and instrumentation for construction, commissioning and interface hook-up as well as detail review of build strategies, progressive review/ approval of site queries, approval of contractor produced project drawings, evaluation of variation orders, conducting sub-contractors technical appraisal prior to contract award, monitoring schedule, site inspections, compliance to design via daily inspection and site safety inspections.
April 2003 to January 2004 TOTAL FPSO AKPO Project:
Position Pipeline Engineer: Responsibilities included the preparation of the fast track basic design for the successful bid package at tender for the pipeline and installation aids.
June 2001 to April 2003 TOTAL FPSO CPTL Project: Single Buoy Mooring Position Design and Site Project Engineer:
France: Initial involvement was as part of the engineering design team and interface for the process module and FPSO this included all the associated design work for the turret, piping, structural and E&I. Additional duties included conducting vendor visits to construction yards prior to contract approval for construction.
Scotland: Based in the fabrication yard during the construction of the Turret, duties included the review/ approval of contractors planning, site queries, project drawings, evaluation of variation orders, also responsible for running the onsite inspection team
Spain: Site representative during the integration of the Turret and FPSO ensuring third party certification, pre-commissioning and preparation for marine operations.
