KOZHIKODE DIESEL POWER PROJECT (KDPP) is a 128 MW power plant working under Kerala State Electricity Board (INDIA). The plant was constructed by WARTSILA (Finland) and is having eight WARTSILA NSD diesel engines, each having 16 MW capacities.
I had worked for 3 years in operations and maintenance department of this plant and have obtained the opportunity to work in a team of experienced and skilled engineers who engaged in the maintenance of WARTSILA NSD diesel engines and its auxiliaries.

Duration : September 10, 2002 to March 10, 2003
After the completion of B-Tech Degree course in Mechanical Engineering, I joined in KOZHIKODE DIESEL POWER PROJECT as a Graduate trainee. The training period was of six months. This training helped me to learn more about the engines and its auxiliaries of this plant. During the period, I had worked also in ALFA LAVAL fuel treatment unit, VATTEN TEKNIK water treatment plant and in the boiler unit of the same plant. The performance during the training period helped to get the chance to join as a sub engineer in the same power plant.
