Started as manned barge mate at the lower pay scale and was promoted to Barge captain at the higher pay scale. Worked clean oil and black oil barges. Also worked inert gas barge B242 and attended inert gas training with company.


1999 - 2005
K-Sea Transportation

Came over when Maritrans sold northern fleet. Worked in gulf on Rebel/DBL182
for two years transferred to Kara Sea/Spring Creek which sailed to Peru, Domican
Republic, and Pakistan moving soy oil on a govt. contract. Currently on Beaufort Sea/
DBL 82 (new JAK intergrated unit) moving bezene and other chemicals in the carribean
and Gulf of Mexico.

1998 - 1999
Maritrans Corp.

AB/Tankerman working as a "relief" or floater. Worked on
most of their fleet.

1996 - 1998
Fryoux Tankerman Service

Tankerman service similar to Petroleum Service. Hired as an area supervisor
for Corpus Christi and south Texas. Actually worked in that capacity for the
Beaumont Tx/Lake Charles, La. area. Dispatched tankermen to jobs,
hired my men, was involved in sales, training of new PIC's as well as working
barges. Same products as PSC, in addition to LG barges. Obtained LG certification
on MMD.

1993 - 1996
Petroleum Service Corp.

Shoreside Tankerman service, dispatched to barges at various facilities
in Texas and Lousiana. Worked with Clean oils, black oils, chemicals, acids, liquefied
feritilizers, H2S cargoes(with scba's and continuous air supply), poisons,
such as Phenol, crude.

1992 - 1993
Sabine Towing

Same basic job as Higman, moving gasoline, Diesel,
and Jet fuel in addition to oil. Company was bought
by Kirby Corp.

1989 - 1992
Higman Towing

First towing company employed with. Obtained Tankerman MMD.
Worked on Mississippi River and Intercoastal waterway moving crude oil.

Merchant Mariners Document, DL and LG endorsments, STCW certs.
