Production Technician / Prrocess Operator / Control Room Operator

To pursue a challenging professional career in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industry.

Presently I am working with Single Buoy Moorings, Monaco, as Production Technician for FPSO in Brazil. I have got very good working knowledge of Different types of wells, Wet Christmas tree, Well riser cleaning, New well commissioning, Pigging operations, Turret & Swivels system, Water treatment & injection system, Three phase separators, Electrostatic Treaters, Gas Compression & Dehydration, Emergency shutdown systems, Offshore utilities, Fiscal metering system, Siemens PowerSuit DCS system. I have good experience of Work-Permit system.

I worked before with ‘Optimal Chemicals, Malaysia’, which is formed by a joint venture between Petronas, Malaysia and Dow Chemical, USA for almost five years. I joined there as Operation Specialist. I am recruited for commissioning of Butanol (oxo-alcohols) unit in the beginning and then working as Panel Operator and leading the team of newly joined Malaysian Operators during startup and developing them to work independently. I have also worked on development of standard operating procedures for startup / shutdown and normal running operations of some critical equipments, participated in DCS control-loop checking, PSSR activities, create punch lists for various systems during pre-commissioning stages. I have good working knowledge of Foxboro IA and Toshiba TOSDIC 247 DCS systems and also well verse with Honeywell and Yokogawa systems. Have hands-on experience on equipments like Turbo-Expanders, Cold-box, Waste-heat recovery boilers, Cryogenic distillation, Hydrogenation reactors, Closed-loop propylene refrigeration cycle system, Molecular sieve dryers, Membrane separation unit, Closed loop cooling water etc.

Earlier I have also worked with National Organic Chemical Industries Ltd. (NOCIL), Petrochemical Division, Thane, from 1986 in Solvents & Alcohols Deptt. in the following units as Panel / Field Operator in Three Shifts Rota.
Steam-Naphtha based Catalytic Reformer for Synthesis Gas, Crude Alcohol Reaction section, Alcohol Distillation, Hydrogen production by Pressure Swing Adsorption method, Crude Isopropyl Alcohol, One Step Methyl Isobutyl Ketone.

Before that I worked with Indian Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd. (IPCL), Nagothane for commissioning of Ethylene Glycol and Ethylene Oxide plant.

1. ‘B.Sc.’ in Chemistry from Bombay University (year 1986).

2. ‘Diploma in Industrial Safety’ from Maharashtra Technical Board.

3. N.C.T.V.T. (A.O.C.P.)course under Govt. Apprentices Act 1961 (Year 1989).

4. Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Programming, System Analysis and Commercial Applications.

I am currently working as a regular Fire Fighting crewmember along with my normal duties and fully aware of all related operations. In my past assignments, I have handled Emergency Operations center as ‘Communication Team Leader’. I have also worked as Safety Observer during Major plant shutdowns. I was a member of Central Safety Council and Works Committee where problems regarding Health, safety and Environment are tackled.
