Piping Engineer

I'm looking to work for an EPC that needs a highly motivated Piping engineer.I would like to utilize the best of my creative & industrious abilities to improve the quality/productivity of the team and there by enhancing my career prospects & growth.

Technical Exposure: Layout & Material
Layouts : Comfortable in study Piping, Equipment & Piping Layouts.
• Familiar with preparing & comfortable in discussions on Plot Plan, Tank-farm piping (CCoE), rack designing, utility distribution, underground piping.
Materials :
• Familiar with Piping material, valve & special parts specifications, P-T ratings, calculation of Thickness calculation, Mitre Bend & Reinforcement pad calculation as per ASME B 31.3.
• Familiar with international Design Codes like ASME
• Comfortable with Stress analysis, Pipe Support and Caesar-II software.
Overall :
• Comfortable in execution of engineering activities through a team of designer/ checker/ engineer.
• Proficient in model reviews, design reviews, clash checks, (Bentley Autoplant).
• Pro-active in developing new techniques/ utilities for improving quality & productivity (i.e. Develo-ping work instructions, status reports, checklists, model-database checks, document control, etc.)
• Work Experience:
 Integral Services Co. WL.L. Engineer – Piping (Oct 05– Present)
Responsibilities: Piping Estimation engineer for 2 projects Approx 12 milion USD each
Estimation – Understanding the exact scope of responsibility, Estimating the required manpower months, Preparing schedules of quanites (BOQ), Manpower mobilization, Equipment mobilization, Cash- Flow statements, Floating enquiries to sub contractor, etc.
 Chemtex Global Engineers Pvt, Ltd. Piping Engineer – Grade I (May 04 – Oct 05)
Responsibilities: Piping lead for 3 cryogenics projects Approx 10K-15K man hr. on Bentley Autoplant
Layout - Man hr estimation, Delivery schedules, input analysis, Study piping, design reviews, model reviews, Mto, 2d drawing checks, quality checks, discussions with client and other dept, site queries, etc.
Site activities – was on site for 2 months, familiar with material procurement activities, witnessed hydro-testing, foundation checks, site routing & trouble shooting.
Material : underwent training from ‘Bentley Institute’ on spec generation
Stress : Currently working in stress group on Caesar II inputting and analysis.
