Professional Experience
During my 11 year career in the Medical Branch of the Royal Navy, I was awarded a Commander–In–Chief’s Commendation for a helicopter search and rescue mission off Dakar, West Africa, to rescue a Polish seaman who had been severely injured. I left the Royal Navy in 1978 to take up employment with Chevron Petroleum U.K. Ltd, as Medic for the Ninian Central Platform.
Since leaving Chevron, I have worked on various contracts world wide on Jack-ups, Semi-Submersibles, Pipelayers, Derrick/Construction Barges, D.S.V.’S, F.P.S.O.’s, R.O.V. vessels, Gas Compression Plant, Desert Camp and Seismic Survey. From July 2000 until February 2005 I have been sub-contracting to Frontier Medical, as a self employed Remote Site Medic. I have just completed a 28 day project for Atlantic Resourcing, on a semi-submersible flotel, offshore Nigeria.
Eductation
5 years at senior secondary school with passes in all subjects. Further education whilst serving in the Royal Navy.

Normal Duties:
Caring for the health and well being of up to 645 crew and project personnel. This position involves running the vessel’s hospital and treating all medical cases that present at the hospital and supplying First Aid/ A.T.L.S./A.C.L.S. at the scene, in the case of an accident. If required, pre-hospital care and management prior to evacuation to shore side facilities. Instructing the crew members’ in Basic and Advanced First Aid and Triage. I am also involved in HSE matters that are related to the crew. Responsible for controlled drug and hospital inventories, ordering medical stores and record keeping, giving medical presentations to the crew on various HSE subjects, First Aid Station, Emergency Eye Wash & Hygiene inspections, maintaining personal medical files and records, including safety training, vaccinations, medicals etc.
