Supervision and “on the job” training of site QC and SQC inspectors for different swamp and land locations including pipe lines construction, flow stations environmental upgrades, tank farms rehabilitation, gas plants construction. In charge of welding procedures review, approval and qualification, according to Shell Standard Specifications, DEP, ASME IX, API 1104, ASME B 31.3, AWS D1.1, API 650 and welders qualifications. Review and approval of fabrication or repair procedures for tanks repairs, including PWHT and pressure testing.
Supervision, procedures review and audits for NDT companies.
QC MANAGER for rehabilitation and TAM 2000-2001. In charge with NDT supervision and inspection (radiography, UT, DPT, MPI), alloy analysis, hardness tests, equipment inspection, welding inspection, welders qualifications, site supervision, quality documentation and mechanical completion forms. The main jobs were related to the inspection of pressure vessels, power boilers, catalytic cracking unit reactor, regenerator and piping.
HEAD OF NDT LABORATORY In charge of organizing the NDT teams activity, using all NDT testing methods, for performing inspections on gas, crude-oil and oil products main pipe lines, oxygen producing plants, spheres, utility tanks and compressor farms. Between May 9 and September 15, 1999, in co-operation with SGS Romania, NDT inspection and welding supervision for piping at Philip Morris factory in Bucharest.
NDT inspection (UT, X-RAY, MPI, DPI, Vacuum box, leak tests, pressure tests, Positive alloy Metal Identification) and supervision for LNG Project.
In charge mainly for UT and X-ray inspection for two 84000 m2 LNG cryogenic tanks, propane sphere, NDT organizing and supervision for utility tanks and pipe lines and QA documentation for LNG tanks.
The main jobs personally carried out were UT for the propane sphere (100% after welding, after PWHT and after pressure test), austenitic steel welds UT for LNG tanks (100 % vertical welds), X-ray examination (100% for propane sphere and LNG cryogenic tanks, spot radiography for floating roof tanks and other utility tanks), supervision for MPI (100% for propane sphere), DPI, PAMI, VB, pressure test, UT thickness measurements, for LNG tanks.
