senior process engineer for an engineering company or an operating company in the field of oil and gas industries and facilities

Project leader to supervise and control a team of process engineers and specialists to develop all activities within the process-engineering department.

Coordinate all process-engineering activities with other departments.

Control project man-hours, work assignments, job instructions to achieve the project target and schedule.

Perform the project design basis and criteria.

Develop the project philosophies, such as isolation and shutdown philosophy, vent and flare philosophy, reliability and sparing philosophy and participating in the control philosophy.

Perform process simulation for gas processing and oil refining.

Develop and issue of process and utility flow diagrams (PFD’s and UFD’s) as well as material and heat balance.

Develop and issue of the project Piping and Instrumentation diagrams (P&ID’s) for process, utility, interconnecting, offsite, tie-in’s….etc.

Develop of Hydraulic calculations for rotating equipment (pumps and compressors), including firm line sizing with isometric drawings.

Perform Vessel sizing for gas/liquid separators, liquid/liquid separators, three phase separators, slug catchers and knock-out drums, Tank sizing.

Safety relief valves sizing, Depressurizing calculations, back pressure calculations Relief and blow down philosophy.

Develop the plant cause and effect diagrams and shutdown philosophy and criteria.

Develop and issue the plant operation and control philosophies.

Develop and issue of the plant pre-commissioning and follow up the construction activities for P&ID’s conformity checks.

Attend and participate in project hazardous and operability studies (HAZOP) and hazard identification studies (HAZID).

Develop and issue of the plant start-up and operating manual.

Develop and issue of process equipment/packages specifications and material requisitions.

Develop, and issue the equipment/packages technical bid evaluation.

Review all relevant suppliers’ data and drawings.

Develop, Review and issue of the filled in process data in line designation tables and instrument loading sheets.

Performing shell and tube heat exchanger design and rating.

ADMA, System Based Integrity Management Project, Assigned for UMM SHAIF facilities, in order to configure the systems that can be isolated using the P&ID’s and Isometric drawings and participate with the corrosion engineer to determine the weak links and process dead legs.
ELNG, Egyptian LNG at Edku, producing of LNG using Philips technology (cascade refrigeration)
Spending 9 months at (BECHTEL USA) reviewing the FEED and Basic Engineering deliverables and participating in detailed engineering phase, developing P&ID's, performing hydraulic calculations, equipment sizing, Vendor prints review as well as attending and participating in the HAZOP review Meetings.
GUPCO, NGL project, processing of (400 MMSCFD) of gas in order to produce Liquid propane, LPG, Stabilized Condensate and
Sales Gas, spending two months at (ABB LUMMUS USA) reviewing all process FEED deliverables.
GASCO, Western Desert Gas Complex, processing of (550 MMSCFD) of gas
producing of C2/C3 mixture, Liquid propane, LPG, Stabilized Condensate and
Sales Gas performing all FEED and basic engineering activities.
RASHPETCO, Rosetta Field development project, processing of
(385 MMSCFD) offshore facilities including wellhead control and shutdown
system and onshore Gas treatment & Condensate Stabilization performing all FEED activities including attending and participating in HAZID and HAZOP meetings.
