Costing/Estimation Engineer

A challenging position in Costing / Tendering which would allow me to utilize the acquired technical Knowledge, management and business skills in a dynamic Professional organization.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Working as Sr. Estimation & Costing Engineer for Kuwait Industrial Refinery Maintenance &Engineering Company (SAK).(KREMENCO.) which is engaged in the field of Engineering, Procurement, Construction and commissioning of Oil, Petroleum, fertilizer and chemical and related projects as well as maintenance/revamping contracts for KNPC,KOC, JO,MEW,EQUATE,PIC etc.

In charge of the Tendering and Costing Department.

Job responsibilities includes

Estimation & costing

Study of tender documents, drawings & specifications identify/review of scope of work, material specification and all other technical and commercial requirements, pre-bid clarification with clientele, conduct site visit as required to familiar with the condition of site. Work allocation and identification of responsibilities for each personnel of the department pertaining to the tender scope. Preparation of RFQ documents for Materials & subcontract works. Co-ordination with internal departments for necessary clarifications and inputs. Evaluation of vendor?¦s /subcontractors quotations, Pre-bid clarification, techno-commercial clarification/negotiations and short listing of vendors and subcontractors. Co-ordination and follow up with subcontractors/vendors for necessary bid documentation .preparation of BOQ /BOM, cost allocation for materials, equipment, consumables direct and indirect manpower, special services and different category of work including costing for project management, financial, statutory requirement and all other direct and indirect expenses. Preparation of Job schedule, manpower requirement, manpower histogram as per the tender schedule .Final Bid Preparation including necessary documentation. Discussion with senior management for tender price finalization. Post bid clarifications as necessary

Preparation and monthly updating of costing data bank for each category of work, services, materials, equipment, consumables etc. Maintenance of records of similar project costing, maintenance vendor& subcontractor databank and evaluation/ short listing based on their past track record. Preparation budgets and cash flow statement for the tenders/projects.
