APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN

To Work as an Electrical Technician in the Refinery for the maintenance and troubleshooting of different types of HV & LV Motors & Generators, Circuit Breakers etc

.Maintenance and trouble shooting of switchgears such as VCB,OCB,ACB etc., and motor starters such as DOL, Star Delta, Slipring, Variable speed drives (AC&DC), Soft start etc.,
Maintenance & trouble shooting of EOT Cranes, Motor operated valves etc.,

.Familiar with protection & control system of Diesel engines & Gas turbines, Also familiar with protection & control system of Alternator, Exciter, AVR & Associated circuits.

.Involved for the testing & calibration of protection relay’s used for generators, HT motors, transformers and for the distribution network.. Also Involved for the testing, commissioning & maintenance of transformers, OLTC’s, PCC’s, MCC’s ,Ring circuit etc.,

Involved for the maintenance & daily monitoring of UPS, Battery charger & Batteries.

Involved for the transformer oil testing, Hi-pot test of UG cables etc.

Familiar about the interlocking, auto starting and re-acceleration system of electrical & turbine drives. Also familiar with all type of electrical drawings & IE Codes

Familiar with starting of generators and its parallel operation. Also well known about the ATS/AMF panel used for the emergency/standby generating units.

Individually worked for the On-line shift coverage duties. Involved for the preparation of monthly reports, maintenance schedule, day to day parameter readings in power stations & substations.
Also familiar with fire alarm system & fire extinguishing system used in industrial plants.

Knowledge of hazardous area classification, PTW, Attended advanced safety training course and
Fire fighting training.
