Supervised Urea Plant Field Maintenance:
- Developed/implemented PM, PdM & Condition Monitoring Plans for machines/stationary equipment.
- Carried out troubleshooting, overhauled & repaired centrifugal/recip. Liquid Ammonia Pumps, CO2 recip. compressors, Ammonia/Urea/Carbamate pressure vessels/reactors, variety of heat exchangers & valves etc.
Supervised Plant’s Mechanical Maintenance Workshop:
- Refurbished equipment (steam turbines, recip/centrifugal compressors and pumps, blowers, gearboxes, variable speed drive units etc)
- Repaired/reclaimed 1000 plus line valves including gate, globe, ball, plug, butterfly, angle & other special valves resulting in substantial cost saving
Fabricated pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tube bundles etc. (3~4/year)
- Calibrated 400 plus conventional & pilot operated pressure safety & relief valves (PSV/PRV)
- Worked on materials like Titanium, Inconels, Hastalloys, Alloy Steels etc. apart from CS, SS, Al & CI
- Selected, procured, installed & commissioned the following:
* SCHENCK Balancing Machine + CAB unit (Rs 7M)

- Feed & Fuel Gas Lines Safety/Reliability Survey & Analysis
- Brittle Fracture Susceptibility Analysis of 60+ Pressure Vessels/Heat Exchangers installed at the UREA plant using CodeCalc software
- Involved in development of relevant WPS, PQR and WPQ for recurring processes/welders at Engro.

Turnarounds/Shutdowns
Participated in 4 turnarounds & numerous forced outages. Responsibilities typically included working on replacement, overhauls, cleaning & modification of a range of machines, stationary equipment & their components.
- Insitu Balancing of Syn Gas Compressor in coord. with Bently Nevada/RoMaDyn reps.
- Repaired leakage in thick tube-sheet of high pressure CO2 Stripping Vessel, working with Toyo Eng. Company rep.
