Professional Experience
Amjad is a geologist, with over 15 years of working experience locally and overseas with the leading multi-national service companies. He has worked on logs, core studies including sedimentology of the cores, porosity / permeability / fluid contents, petrographic studies, facies analysis / interpretation, field geology which includes geological mapping, structural interpretation, tectonics, sedimentological studies and seismic interpretation. He has authored and co-authored number of geoscientific research publications. In addition, he teaches sedimentology and petroleum geology to the geosciences students at graduate and postgraduate level in different universities. He is responsible for the preparation of blocks in different sedimentary basins of Pakistan which are offered for hydrocarbon exploration by Directorate General Petroleum Concession, Government of Pakistan. He is a team lead for number of Landmark software’s including SeisWorks, SynTool, PowerView etc., and geological interpretation applications. Team and goal oriented with strong interpersonal and teaching skills, excellent work habits and high ethical standards.
