Post Graduate (Mech Eng),over 15 year of experience; more than 13.1/2 years in the domain of Rotating equipments ,Reliability & Condition monitoring in an Operating Petrochemicals Plant environment – IPCL-MGCC) ;Certified Vibration analyst category-II by Vibration institute , USA.
As a Part of IPCL team I am / have been responsible for Engineering & technical support to the Plant Operation & Maintenance group. Duties included :
*Association in & execution of Inspection & O/H of major & Critical Rotating equipments , Reliability improvement / study and Condition Monitoring solutions / Predictive maintenance , trouble shooting , Root cause Failure Analysis(RCFA) to identify causes of failures (Bad actors) & making reports with recommendations ,Attending Cross functional(Operation / maintenance) meetings including reliability meetings to ascertain problems and complaints.
*Planning and Carrying out Condition monitoring techniques viz (1) Vibration analysis by using Bently Make ADRE system, SKF Make PRISM 4 , CSI RBM ware , single and multi-channel FFT spectrum analyzers, Bently Nevada Online Monitoring System (Series 7200 & 3300) , (2) Lube Oil analysis , (3) Performance / Process parameter monitoring & analysis, (4) Look listen feel audit through human senses.
*Executing Specialized maintenance services like Laser Alignment, Dynamic Balancing (as per ISO 1940).
*Preparing Scope of work-for Critical rotating equipments for Shutdown / Turnaround O/H ; for repair / refurbishment of critical rotors involving external vendors and contractors.
*Have been instrumental in improving the MTBF of Critical line equipments viz. LDPE Reactor Stirrer (from 06 months to more than 12 months) & Extruder pelletizer (01 year to 02 years) thus a financial benefit to the company to the tune of US $ 4500 per year.
*Use of code & standards like API 610, API 613, API 617, API 618, , API 670, API 672, API 682 , ISO 2953, ISO 1940, ISO 11342, ISO 10816 for purchase specification, condition evaluation, guidelines, commissioning & testing.
*Providing training on Centrifugal pumps, Centrifugal compressors ,Reciprocating compressors ,Mechanical seals , Bearings.
