Duties: I was in charge of hauling and operating a Bobcat 853 using Ford F350 to perform installation of underground wiring and pipes, including lights in parking areas to slab work. During times of in-climate weather, I assisted my fellow electricians in running conduit and installing electrical outlets, switches, lights and etc( for schools, churches, jails and residential buildings).
Also, I was in charge of roughing in and trimming out residential houses. Made repairs in homes and offices and installations of machinery in industrial environments.


U.S. Navy Title: Electrician Mate third class
USS Houston (SSN-713)
Duties: Assigned to a 688-class fast attack nuclear submarine as a nuclear trained electricians mate from May 1991 to July 1995. My duties were to qualify my senior watch stations and perform corrective and preventive maintenance on the ship’s electrical systems and components. I obtained a secret clearance and was qualified my senior watch positions. Also, was responsible to ensure that new shipmates were trained properly.

May 1991 – July 1995
Assigned to USS Houston, 688 class fast-attack nuclear submarine. My duties were to learn the ships operation, qualify all my ship and rate watch stations. To perform preventive and corrective maintenance under the care of the Electrical and Divisio. This included – ships battery, AC/DC motors and generators, Steam Turbine Generators, Diesel Generator, ship’s lighting, all switch boards and circuit breakers and controllers. During my tenure on USS Houston I was assigned Ships Battery Officer, Ships Sound Officer and Maneuvering Watch Throttleman.
Trained in Ships Damage Control Team and attended an Advanced Submarine Damage Control class to be able to respond to all emergencies including: nuclear accidents, fires, flooding, steam accidents and poisonous gases from ship‘s weapons and battery accidents. While I was on USS Houston I was deployed approximately 70% of my 4 years including two 6-month deployments. Was involved in 3 major ship upkeeps/overhauls.

From September 1989 to May 1991 was assigned to attend the Navy’s Nuclear Power Program. My duties were to achieve the best grades possible in accordance with the Navy Regulations. US Navy, achieved Electrician Mate third class with NEC 3354(Nuclear trained).
Attended Motors/Generator school, Controllers/relays, FireFighting, Battery schools while in the US Navy.
