Reservoir Engineer

A Senior Position in Reservoir/Petroleum Engineering Departments, with responsibilities to independently handle projects new/development wells, reserves accessment and booking etc

Jan 2001-present Reservoir Engineer–BP Pakistan Exploration & Production, Inc.
Currently responsible of 10 oil & gas fields (45 wells), the roles include
•Reserves assessment, booking and production optimization
•Production forecasting for short term & long term plans
•Reservoir depletion plans, field surveillance plans (BHP surveys, Tracer surveys, saturation monitoring (RST/CHFR), PLT/PSP surveys etc.)
•Decline Curve Analysis using OFM, daily welltest monitoring and analysis
•New well and workover risk assessment
•Well stimulation (reservoir perspective)
•Excel the production through base management
-Production/injection optimization
-Value adding Wellworks recommendations
-Add perforations/re-perforations, Zonal isolations/plug back etc
-Well by Well review to identify the opportunities
•Capital/Expense workovers & completions
•Prepare and present projects to partners
•Prepare AFE and monitoring cost of different projects
•Recommend, supervise and interpret MDT data
•Evaluated and recommend the candidate wells (6 wells) for P&A’d

WELL DESIGN & ARTIFICIAL LIFT
•Used Jet software and PROSPER/WEM to evaluate the optimum N/T combination to optimize the artificial lift well’s production (Jet pump wells).
•Run PROSPER model for several wells to design artificial lift (gas lift)

WELL COMPLETION OPERATIONS
•Prepared and supervised several completion and workover programs
•Prepared DST programs with ScSSSV for several wells
•Involved in the installation of high pressure and low pressure i.e. 3K to 15K X-Mass Trees with SSV

PRODUCTION TESTING OPERATIONS
•Prepared and supervised production testing programs. Supervised, Extended Flow and build-up tests
•Prepared and supervised Drill Stem Testing Program jobs along with TCP guns in a straight hole section on different wells

PLT /PSP/TDT/RST/CHFR & MDT OPERATIONS
Supervised numerous MDT jobs with LFA.
Supervised various production and saturation logs (PLT/PSP, TDT/RST/CHFR)

WIRELINE & SLICKLINE
Pressure surveys, Slickline jobs, e.g. gauge cutter, dump bailer, swedge, setting and retrieving Isolation Sleeve and standing valve, setting and retrieving FB-2 check valve and FWG plugs, Perforation, CBL, VDL logging, setting “DB”, “FB-1” permanent Packers and junk basket jobs etc.

Recommended and supervised several workover wells and supervised several rig & rigless operations. Have operational experience on high pressure and deep wells (+18000 feet, 11000 psi).
