Repsol Oil Operations. ROO Position: Senior Safety Specialist from Sept. 2000 to present time. Working in El-Sharara desert location (NC-115), responsible for the Company Safety &Fire Fighting Policy on 3 Gasps. And associated facilities. My duties included the implementation and adherence to Company Health and Safety Procedures, managing the Fields Fire Station. At present I am working in Zawia Exporting Terminal with similar responsibilities.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Managing the Plant fire Station.
• Implementing the permit to work system both hot and cold work, confined space entry, per entry atmospheric testing, tanks dipping, electrical isolation and desolation permits. Insuring that all safety procedures are adhered to in accordance with the work permits.
• Carry out the daily and the periodical inspections for the fire fighting system and equipments.
• Reports on major accidents, environmental incidents of gas, noise and pollution and near miss situations and submits finding and recommendations to management to prevent recurrence.
• Supervising Safety and fire fighting cover during airplane landing and taking off from Sahara field airstrip.
• Breathing apparatus training for the company fire crew both theoretical and practical.
•Monitors hot and cold work preformed by maintenance or construction crews.
