My current job is that of a financial controller

My objective is to work, for a long term, as an accountant in a foreign country especially in Dubai.

1999 to date: Mobisle Communications Ltd (Trading as go Mobile)I am currently employed as Finance Executive, which mainly involves direct responsibility of the finance department.During the initial stages of my employment at go Mobile my role was that of:·
Setting up internal controls within the different departments of the company;
Implementing an accounts package;
Implementing a fixed asset register;
Setting up of the company’s chart of accounts, both for internal use and for consolidation purposes;
Introducing monthly management accounts with respective key performance indicators;
Assisting the IT department for the implementation of the billing system for contract subscribers;
Developing a yearly budget model and a five year business plan for the company;·
Setting up the budgetary process within the different departments in the company;
Recruiting staff for the finance department and also assisted in the recruitment of staff for other departments within the company;
Implementing a point of sale for go Mobile’s retail outlets;
Linking different processes such as purchase orders, sales orders (both PC based and through PDAs), retail outlet’s point of sale & stock control with the company’s accounts package;

Currently my role at go Mobile is:
Reviewing and improving current internal controls;
Variance analysis on a monthly basis;
Part of the business development team;
Review of monthly management accounts;
Compiling of consolidation packages;
Direct involvement with foreign consultants mainly in the UK;
Direct involvement with the company’s statutory auditors;
Feasibility studies;
Costings exercises done for the sales department and engineering department;
Supervisory role in the accounts department (team of 20 people).
