V. Basic functions

„I Supervising and coordinating the activities of assigned personnel in the routine monitoring of rotating equipment overhauling activities and troubleshooting investigation of rotating equipments.

„I Responsible for all maintenance aspects of the rotating equipment in preventive, predictive and shutdown maintenance of the plant.

„I Carry out thorough investigation study of rotating equipment and provide technical recommendation of chronic problem.

„I Provide support and technical expertise with optimization of machine integrity and minimization of machine failures.

„I Carry out root cause analysis for the rotating equipment failure and provide solution to equipment reliability problems, improve all reliability aspects of the equipment, reduce maintenance cost and reduce the potential of critical equipment failure.

„I Provide inputs and recommendation of upgrading, replacement and modification of existing equipment based on performance and condition monitoring reports.

„I Participate in implementing training, development and provide technical support and assistance to trainees.

„I Review routine and overhaul spare parts requirement for rotating equipment on regular basis.

„I Standardize and optimize maintenance resources for the cost effective maintenance work.

„I Assess suitability of new equipments/technology and witness their trials.

„I Updates and maintain equipment data and maintenance history for better technical analysis.
„I Ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted with the safety of the employee, plant and community as a primary objective.

VI. Equipments experienced

„I Major rotating equipments like steam turbines, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors.

„I Other rotary equipments like single stage and multi stage centrifugal pumps, reciprocating plunger pumps, gear pumps, screw pumps.

„I Fans, cooling tower fans, agitators, filters and gear trains etc

„I Screw conveyors, belt conveyors, bucket elevators, pneumatic conveyors, slot conveyors.

„I Can handle maintenance in all static equipment like heat exchangers, boilers, fired heaters, vessels and towers, pipelines, valves etc.

completed in 1986 in Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Coimbatore, TN, India
in first class.

Completed the turbo machinery maintenance course conducted by MHI Technoco, Hiroshima, Japan in 1995.
