Senior Piping Designer

As a professional, I am creative, innovative and hard working and am looking forward to working in a challenging environment and striving for excellence.

I am working as a “PIPING DESIGNER” from April 2001 to till date, in Operations Engineering Department, at Dukhan onshore field.

Visits work sites to measure existing dimensions and reviews applicability of existing drawings, standards and specifications.

Field surveys by using “Geographic Information System”.

Preparation of conceptual designs, preliminary designs and detailed designs for facilities and infrastructure work, based on the PCR’s / RDA’s, as per Qatar Petroleum Standard ESD-10.

Makes revisions and minor modifications to existing drawings based on comments received from lead engineers concerned.

Preparation of final design drawings and issued for construction/Tender.

Preparation of Process flow schemes/Process engineering flow schemes.

Preparation of Plot plans/Hazardous area classification drawings.

Preparation of Piping plans, Piping key plans, Isometrics & B.O.M’s.

Preparation of Equipment General Arrangement and Detail Drawings.

Using appropriate codes of practice, ANSI/ASME, BS, API standards and other relevant sections of statutory documentation.

Using design and assessment methods used within piping discipline.

Using analytical methods used within piping discipline.

Quality control and quality assurance for engineering work.

Technically direct design personnel within piping discipline.

Reviews actual project designs, plans and drawings prepared in-house or by consultants for entire projects and assesses and endorses all cost and contractual terms and conditions.

Demonstrate clear written/spoken communication with Lead Engineers and section Heads within piping discipline.

Attending weekly meetings with lead Engineers, answering queries on progress of projects.

Preparation of regular and status reports by using PRIMAVERA (P3).

Checks the adequacy of designs produced by others, to ensure fitness for purpose and technical quality in terms of providing safe/environmentally acceptable facilities, in compliance with the ESD-10, Codes, Standards, Principles, Practices and Specifications.

Direct reporting to Senior Designer Engineer.

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING - 3 Years Diploma from State Board of Technical Education Training, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, INDIA.

SSC (Secondary School Certificate) 10th Class from State Board of Secondary School Education, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, INDIA.

TECHNICAL SKILLS : NDT – UT/MPI/PT -Level-II (ASNT)

COMPUTER SKILLS :
Diploma in Computerized Drafting (AutoCAD).
Diploma in Computer Applications (DCA).
Structural Analysis and Design (STAAD-III).
Technical Data Management System (TDMS).
Primavera-3 (Project Management Course (Sponsored by Qatar Petroleum).
Sound knowledge in “Geographic Information System”
Additional knowledge on CAD Worx / P&ID, and I am having licensed software.
