Chief Engineer / Chief Mechanic

I am seeking a position as a Chief Engineer or similar where my skills and previous experience will be as asset to your company.

• First Class Engineer;
• 20 years of diversified experience in running, monitoring, inspection and troubleshooting, routine and emergency maintenance and repairs of the machinery ( up to 30000 BHP )onboard various vessels' types underway and in the shipyard;
• supervisory experience during new building in Spain (Barreras, 2002 - 2004) and Italy (Fincantiery, since 2005) shipyards;
• enough skills for implementation of the Safety Management System
( ISM Code training courses 21/04/95 - 12/05/95, 20/02/98 - 02/03/98 and 20/032005 – 25/03/2005 );
• familiar with arc and gas welding equipment and lathe;
• computer / Internet competent;
• experienced enough in written, spoken and technical English;
• familiar with computerized systems of Preventive Maintenance Planning, stock control, requisitioning, reporting and communications;
• adaptable to multinational environment;
• supervisory and communication skills.
