Senior Process Engineer

Fully involved with Feasibility Studies, Conceptual Design, Basic Design and Tendering Evaluation for EPCC Contractor.

1 Hands-on experience in process calculation such as line sizing, hydraulic and pressure balance analysis, equipment sizing, mass and heat balance, heat transfer calculations,
2 Fully aware and conversant with operational envelopes of units installed in local processes,
3 Contribute towards preparation of the process design basis for a project,
4 Able to prepared simple block diagrams, PFD’s and P&ID’s and translates basic information into equipment process data sheets and instrument data sheets,
5 Understand Petronas (PTS) design standards and where they should be applied,
6 Knowledge of International Codes such as ASME, API, NFPA and knowledge related to piping design and calculations,
7 Able to build process simulation(Hysys) and interpret the results,
8 Able to explain and use the techniques & procedures (e.g. HAZOP, Model Review, Safety Review, Pre start-up Safety Review, Project Independent Review PIR),
9 Understands and can explain the use and application of local plant trip matrix and pressure relief philosophy,
10 Able to provide a comprehensive technical analysis and quantitative cost/benefits analysis using economic assessment tools such as NPV, IRR etc,
11 Able to produce basic overall operating and process control philosophy for the plant or for proposed modifications to the process,
12 Ability to prepare pre-commissioning/commissioning and testing procedures as well as Plant Operating Manual,
13 Know how to assess mechanical equipment and electrical & instrumentation readiness prior to commissioning,
14 Certified as Facilitator for Project Risk Assessment (PRA)
