Electrical Fitter/Mechanic

To perform my duties to the highest standard possible. I want other tradesman to strive to meet my standard.

My main experiences are in heavy industrial construction; including mining, petro-chemical, oil & gas and power generation. I can accommodate any requirements needed in the electrical field.
I have worked often in remote locations, confined spaces, hazardous areas, at height and am prepared to work overtime and/or shift work as required.

• Installation, commissioning and de-commissioning of high voltage equipment including transformers, ring main switch units and cabling/terminations in adherence to strict high voltage switching and permit procedures.

• Installation, maintenance and commissioning of various electrical and instrumentation systems including flow meters, ultrasonic depth sensors, temperature / pressure transmitters etc, vibration and expansion probes and DCS.

• Installation, repair and commissioning of hazardous area equipment.

• Installation and commissioning of UPS systems.

• Cable terminations including multi pair screened cable, steel wire armoured and high voltage XLPE, including the use of potted barrier glands.

• Installation, maintenance and repair of various size single and three phase motors and variable speed drives.

• Earthing of main systems including underground grid systems using cad weld applications and static electricity earthing protection.

• Switchboard wiring, additions, alterations and repairs incorporating general power distribution, motor control, uninterruptible power supplies, DCS, instrumentation and programmable logic controllers.

• High voltage switchboard manufacture (11kv, 2000a) and associated control panelling
