•Meet with end-users, and work with design development team to document the requirements in project specifications.•Processing aerial and satellite images by computer (including specialized image processing software) to fit them to maps; • Processing aerial and satellite images to enhance particular features;•Collating detailed information and writing reports; •Oil Spill support using RadarSAT2•Target identification.•Interpreting and extracting information to support decision making• To collect, store, manipulate, and analyze geographic data.•Review Images acquired to determine its usefulness and extent of cloud cover.•Develop written reports outlining the processes, discuss with the Manager on the way forward.•Maintain comprehensive and technical knowledge of Enterprise GIS administration techniques including internal structure, customization processes, and external interfaces•Using Radar SAT2 image for the recognition and identification of hot spots in a flood region.•Extraction and incorporation of linear/aerial features from digital imagery e.g. Ikonos, LANDSAT, SPOT and Airborne SAR into Geographical Information System (GIS) Database using Advanced ArcGIS. Effectively used Imageries for quality control of coverage to determining accurate location of features•Geo-Rectification of Satellite images using Ground Control Points obtained from field or own GCPs derived from Image. Ortho-Rectification of Aerial Photos.• Geo-Rectification of Radar SAT2 image•Oil/Gas Fields Regioning: Delineated, vectorised and attributed Shell and competitor oil/gas fields, creating ArcInfo region coverage for the reservoirs. Original data extracted are converted from ZMAP. Advanced ArcInfo was used in converting tabular data with coordinate information
