I have worked in the construction industry for the last seven years after serving a full trade apprenticeship as a mechanical supervisor. For the last seven years I have been employed predominately as a construction supervisor for different companies from sub contractor, managing contractor and client. The roles I have undertaken have been mechanical supervisor. I am always trying to expand my career and gain experience within my chosen career with different companies and locations.
I consider myself to be highly motivated and have the skills and working knowledge to be an asset to any future employer. I possess good verbal and written communication skills and have a good attitude towards man management and construction safety systems
I have worked in the oil and gas, organic solvents industries, mainly on construction of new production facilities. I have had experience of pre-commissioning of these plants and have worked on several live plants on scheduled maintenance programs.
My duties usually involve supervising the installation of building services (HVAC, plumbing, sanitary), rotating equipment & pipe work. But I have a good knowledge through experience of pipe erection and hydrostatic / pneumatic testing. I possess a good knowledge of P&ID, isometric, schematic, engineering and general arrangement drawings.
Being computer literate I can compile and report information through written reports or specific spread sheets.
I am experienced in attending and participating in co-ordination meetings between clients principle and sub contractors also progress and safety meetings either in house or with other contractors.
