Mud Logger Geologist

A professional Data Engineer based in Egypt,available in Europe, with over 3 years of experience in the oil field . Looking for an opportunity world-wide. Fields of interest: Well site geologist, MWD, Mud engineering or any field related to geology.

Working as a Data Engineer at the Well Site with Datalog Technology. Responsible for the maintenance, correction and operation of the equipment supplied to provide the service, collection and presentation of the information monitored in accordance with company standard procedures and customer requirements to ensure a high quality Service. Performed surveillance duties, collection, analysis and description of drilling cuttings, preparation of litho logical strip log, basic data monitoring and acquisition.
The following responsibilities are also included:
1-Collecting of the rock cutting which is geologically described and examined for any oil shows.
2-Monitoring gas hydrocarbon, these gases are detected as a total value, then are analysed to their component.
3-Inform all relevant personnel of all pits gain, losses, gas/oil shows, drilling breaks, and wash outs anomalies of drilling parameters that could be out of the set ranges.
4-Monitoring all hole and pipe displacements and all trips in or out of the hole.
5-Generate the mud logs and graphs during the drilling of the well.

White Nile petroleum company (WMPC), Petrodar petroleum company (PDOC), Sudan, Onshore.
II) February 2004–April 2006 Worked as Mud Logger geologist for Sperry Drilling Services(a Halliburton company). Types of wells:Development, Exploration and Relief wells.
Duties:Same as above.

Five- British Petroleum Mediterranean Sea, Italy (Augusta – Sicily), Offshore, assisted in Rig Up.
III) August 2002 to October 2003:Surveyor at Rochem Inspectors. (Independent Surveying & Inspection Company)
Duties:Quantity & quality inspection of crude oil& petroleum products e.g. Fuel oil, Naphtha,Gasoline, Turbine; tanks measurements;vessels inspection
IV) June 2000 to February 2001:Quality controller at the Arab Petroleum Pipelines(SUMED)
Determination of physical & chemical properties of crude oil according to ASTM standards,e.g:pour point, water &Sulphur content, density, viscosity, trace metals & Sediments contents, API.
