Seeking Senior Managerial assignments in Procurement, Materials, Supply Chain Management with a Front line Organization.

A) Present Job (June 2006 onwards)
Currently working as Manager – Procurement in the Global Sourcing Division of Essar Constructions Limited. Essar Constructions Limited is EPC Company of the Essar Group which is one of India's largest corporate houses with interests spanning the manufacturing and services sectors in both old and new economies: steel, oil & gas, power, telecom & BPO, shipping and construction. The group’s enterprise value is approximately US$ 15 billion and a turnover of over US$ 2.2 bn.The job involves supervising a team of 4 engineers as lead member handling Procurement of Capital Equipment/Systems in the area of Instrumentation, Automation, Electrical, Electronics and IT for various new Projects undertaken by Essar group (both in house as well outside) across the globe. Actively involved (as Core team Member) in development of Materials Management Module in the SAP System being implemented across all sites.


2) With M/s Reliance Industries Limited (April 1996 – May 2006)
Worked as Manager – Procurement with M/s Reliance Industries Limited in Central Procurement department at their Mumbai Head Office.
Reliance Industries Limited is India’s no 1 private sector organization and a Fortune 500 company operating in the fields of Oil & Gas exploration, Refining & Retailing, Petrochemicals, Textiles and Life Sciences with annual sales of over US$ 20 Billion and net Profit of over US$ 1 Billion.
My job involved direct procurement of Engg spares & Capital Goods (imported & indigenous) in the area of Electrical, Instrumentation, Electronics and IT for Reliance’s existing petrochemical sites at Patalganga (near Mumbai), Hazira (near Surat) and Kurkumbh (near Pune). Handling procurement of materials worth Rs.50 Crores (US$ 10 million) annually.

3) With M/s ABS Industries Limited (Sept 1994 – April 1996)
Worked as Engineer-Instrumentation with M/s ABS Industries Limited (Now Bayer ABS Ltd) from Sept 1994 to April 1996 at their Nandesari Manufacturing Unit near Vadodara, Gujarat. M/s ABS Inds Ltd manufactures ABS Resins used as raw material in various Plastic articles such as telephone instruments, ball pens, home appliance body etc. Worked in the Instrumentation Maintenance department and involved in Preventive and breakdown maintenance of various Process Instruments such as PLCs, PID Controllers, Control Valves, Transmitters etc.

B.E. in Instrumentation & Control Engineering from S S Engineering College, Bhavnagar, Gujarat.

Awarded National Merit Scholarship on the basis of meritorious performance in Secondary School Certification Examination in 1988.
