Kvaerner Cleveland Bridge Senawang:
I joined Cleveland Bridge in 1996 as a Storekeeper . The assignment that was given to me was to set up the Material Store in Cleveland Bridge. As a pioneer staff at Cleveland Bridge I had to work on to determine the safety stock and lot size for the Inventories in the Material Store.The reorder point level and reorder point have to be determine as all orders for the store items have to be relayed to Purchasing by a Purchase Requisition. The reorder point was crucial as with this sufficient stock was on hand to last during the lead time of the replenishment.In addition safety stock was calculated to cover the possibility of demand exceeding expectation during the replenishment and lead time. The materials also had to be categorized as per their groups example Welding consumables,Bolt&Nuts ,Cast Iron plates,Safety PPE,Blasting shots , Paint, tools , drilling equipment,cutting torches ,Industrial gases (O2,Act,Argon,CO2) and Drill bits . After categorizing the materials I had to input and assign a code into our Maximo system.
In end 1997 I was promoted to Material Foreman in Kvaerner Cleveland Bridge ,my new job scope was to take care of all Stock yard ,Finished Goods shipment and the Material Store. This was an added responsibility.Reporting to me were 18 charge hands. With this new assignment I had to do stage inspection of raw steel (UB,UC,Angle,plates ). I learned how to read fabrication drawings and erection plans further to this I gained knowledge in steel standards example BS standard ,Joist and ASTM standard .

Logistics and arrangement for shipment was one of my responsibility as some fabricated items were under JDA(Joint development area) in which export from Kvaerner to JDA can be done with ease even though it was in a different country. The export would still be considered as local shipment from a JDA area to another JDA area.Incoming and Export of shipment of raw steel and finished goods has to be followed up especially in determining the Incoterms to be used example (FOB,CIF or EXWorks). Transport arrangement to meet the port closing and not to incur port demurrage charges for Import shipment

I graduated from Northern Territory University (Australia) in Bachelor of International Business Management.
I have experience in working with multinational companies on various fields; I believe my experience could be put to good use in your company.I have worked in warehousing,planning,purchasing and sales nearly covered 75% of the supply chain.
As a person I am easy going and always take the initiative to think of the end first and put first things first

I have worked SAP R3 and SAP R3 4.7 (MM) for at least 9 years. I am excellent in material master creation, MRP and ERP functions.
