Instrumentation
Experienced in construction, installation, loop checking, pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, testing & operating procedures, maintenance methodology, calibration, reparation, modification and troubleshooting of instrumentation. Technical competence within specific Control and Instrumentation discipline of power plant generation ( Diesel Engine: WARSTILA SACM UD 45 V16, MAN & BW 18V 32/40, CUMMINS KTA 50, and PERKINS 1300 Series Peregrine), Water Treatment Reverse Osmosis Plant ( IONICS and CULLIGAN) ,Pipe line, Pulping Plant, Chemical Plant, Refinery, Oil field, Gas and Oil Separator Plant (GOSP), Automation & Controls Building. Experience with control systems (DCS, SCADA, PLC, ESD, FGS, FDS) during loop checking, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up.
Use a variety of Pneumatic, electrical, and hand tools for the specific jobs. Able to identify and use a variety of test and measurement equipments including hand held communicator, digital and analogue voltmeters, pneumatic and smart calibrators, Test Bench of Pressure Safety Valve and valves.
Performs a variety of skilled work related to installation, calibration of control valves, pressure and flow transmitter, level, conductivity, redox, PH meter, and temperature controllers and other related instruments, including running and tracing complex loop wiring. Assist in complex trip test and function testing of control loops, knowledge of trip sequences and process fault finding. Familiar with work permit system, and area classifications. Able to read, interpret and understand the P&ID’s, Pipe and Isometric lines, Instrument Diagrams, Location Drawings, Termination Diagram, Block Diagram, Loop Drawings, Hook up Drawings, ESD/PSD Cause & Effect Charts, Schematic Diagrams, Instrument List, Code & Designation and electrical related drawings. Ability to prepare reports containing measurement data or summaries of problems relevant from related duties , maintaining good housekeeping at work site and following established safety procedures. Carries out routine maintenance and tests on all electrical & instrumentation equipment according to the established maintenance programme. Carries out a preventive maintenance and procedure testing of the Protection systems and fire Fighting & safety systems.
