Professional Experience
v Materials planning, purchasing/procurement and warehousing of all types of Stores/spares/equipment for process/production plants, drilling units/rigs, Power Plants, Engine room, Electrical and Instrumentation, ships executive/husbandry, Navigation, Mechanical Engineering (including air-condition plants’ components and spares), communication, General Stores (including chemicals, gases, petroleum, Oils and lubricants which are to be handled with proper MSDS sheets & Certificates), Air Engineering & Electrical, Aviation Stores, Office Equipment, Catering stores, Victualling/Clothing stores, Machinery spares, Electronic equipment & their spare parts, tools, vehicles & spares etc.
v Storing of Units/Ships/FPSOs/Rigs and subsequent maintenance of stores/equipment using appropriate database/inventory management systems which includes systematic control of all spare parts, chemicals/consumables, tools & vehicles on the units, control of materials received against manifests/Purchase Orders, stores transferred, requisitioned and back-loaded from the unit.
v Inventory control using appropriate databases and to undertake regular & systematic inventory checks to verify the accuracy of the stock control system.
v Tender floating, market survey, price/quality verification, comparative statements/ commercial evaluation of bids & quotations, negotiations with suppliers, preparation & placement of cost effective purchase orders and follow-up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods at site.
v Knowledge of major equipment such as HP/LP Gas compressors, Booster compressors, Steam & Gas Turbines, Boilers, Water/chemical injection pumps & treatment plants, turret super structures, Main cranes/winches, cargo pumps, drilling/pigging/well services/sub-sea equipment and in-depth knowledge of their spare parts.
v Materials handling, preservation, issues, accounting, stocktaking and replenishment as per the standard Minimum/Maximum levels in consideration with lead-time & company policies.
v Managing & controlling of Warehouses comprising 200,000 plus individual stock items related to exploration, construction and maintenance spare parts/equipment for offshore & onshore installations, process/production plants, drilling units and such oil & gas field units.
v Storing of units/ships/rigs on commissioning & de-storing before disposal.

Further, attained 06 months’ Diploma in Materials Management from NIT, Mohali whilst serving in Indian Navy.

By virtue of experience and having undergone periodical courses/employment in various marine/Oil & Gas field units/offshore/FPSO/ships and in different capacities, I have attained adequate experience in materials management, purchasing & warehousing, computer applications on warehouses/procurement/logistics and general administration. Capable to take charge of an office/purchase department/Warehouse/supply point/logistics-organization and can efficiently supervise subordinate staff with leadership qualities of a very high order. Competent to take independent decisions, develop and implement plans/programs of the higher command. Possess good communication/interpersonal skills and good command over written and spoken English.
