Senior Geophysicist

I am sending my application letter to fill the Senior Geophysicist position in your company. Because I would like to develop my overseas career in your company program based on my technical experiences for 14 years and my educational background.

1.Fourteen (14) years of practical experiences in oil and gas companies, in the field of G&G exploration, new ventures, development, and geophysics operations, including technical quality control of geophysical data.
2.Geophysicist supervisor for all Geophysical projects and assignment with Pearl / Sebana (Bulu) Ltd. as follows; seismic interpretation, reprocessing and scanning, 2D seismic acquisition design parameters, other G&G studies, Quality Control of G&G software and hardware, including purchasing G&G data in Bulu PSC – East Java offshore. Also practical knowledge of seismic regional and petroleum geology of East Java basin. To be a good team work with G&G Team, especially for prospect and leads generation and reserves calculation.
3.Geophysical analysis of Bengara PSC – East Kalimantan seismic acquisition and processing. This area is operated by Medco Energy E&P Indonesia and Sebana Ltd. has a small share in this area. Also practical knowledge of seismic regional and petroleum geology of Tarakan, East Kalimantan basin.
4.Supervision of geophysical exploration assignments in seismic processing, seismic interpretation, synthetic seismogram, seismic archiving, exploration data management and well velocity surveys, for ConocoPhillips (formerly Gulf Indonesia Resources) in all Sumatra onshore, Natuna and East Java offshore areas. Also practical knowledge of seismic regional and petroleum geology of South and North Sumatra basins.
5.Asset Team member of the ConocoPhillips Ketapang – East Java Growth in 2003-2004. This team was successful for some well discoveries, especially for Bukit Tua field.
6.Extensive exposure in Gulf dedicated seismic data processing, reprocessing and scanning in 1998-2002.
7.Team member of Asamera / Gulf Exploration Merangin New Ventures project in 1994-1998 and Block ‘A North Sumatra exploration project in 1992-1994.
8.Expertise in seismic interpretation using workstation Schlumberger Geoframe in 1998 – 2003 and Landmark in 2003 – now.
9.Practical knowledge on seismic acquisition, seismic processing, seismic interpretation and gravity techniques both in onshore and offshore.

Master of Science majoring in Reservoir Geophysics from University of Indonesia (UI) with thesis title “Integrated Facies Analysis for Reservoir Characterization controlled by Well-Log and Seismic Data with Geostatistical Approach”. Academic record (GPA) : 3.43 and graduated on February 13, 2004.

Bachelor of Geophysics from University of Indonesia (UI) with research title “Forward Modeling Stratigraphy in Seismic Interpretation.Case study: 6 (six) South Sumatra onshore wells. Academic Record (GPA) = 2.84 and graduated on January 18, 1992.
