Assistant Electrical Engineer
Working as in the engineering department. Projects included:
1. 40 KHz transmitter oscillator. This used a switching fly back design to developed 150 volts peak voltage from a digital 5 volts.
2. Multiple stage high impedance (9 Meg ohms) amplifier for an ultrasonic piezo transducer. This took a 20 mV signal and developed approximately 5 volts. This required single power supply for cost reasons.
3. Piezo vibration sensor. Developed high impedance JFET amplifier from discrete parts. This amplifier has a band pass filtering between stages to ignore random vibration noise.
4. Developed prototype hardware for testing on each of these designs.
5. Designed and investigated IR laser diode drivers for proximity detectors. This design used an IR phototransistor and laser diode as an echo-detect but the distance was too limited.
6. Wrote PLC programs to implement the output of each of these circuits in a simulation of the vending machine.

PROJECTS:
„« Ministry of Environment and Water, Veterinary Mobile Clinic
Was in-charge of the complete project from the procurement of the vehicle to the design and fabrication of a laboratory on a Nissan Diesel Chassis including a 15kVA generator and 1.5 Ton AC. This also required the chassis of the Nissan to be extended to accommodate the 7m cabin. All furniture and body of the lab was manufactured & assembled in the UAE.
„« Food Control Authority, Abu Dhabi Municipality, UAE
Project included the design and construction of two mobile laboratories to accommodate a Food Control Lab. Both the vehicles had to have independent electrical power, yet be silent and have air-tight cabins, to avoid microbiological contamination. Both the vehicles were de4signed on Iveco chassis and were low-profile.
„« Corodex Trading Co., Mobile Water Testing Laboratory
Was responsible for the design and fabrication of UAE?¦s first complete water testing laboratory in an Iveco Bus. This vehicle used external power sources and was equipped with an Engine-Driven 1.5 Ton AC. All furniture and body of the lab was assembled in the UAE.
