Professional Experience
Working as a Petroleum Geologist at the wellsite for the last 17+ years in ONGC, a premier national oil and gas company in India, covering three prospective but distinctly different onland clastic, offshore carbonate and deepwater deltaic environments (having varied tectonic setups) of the country - Mumbai, Tripura and Krishna-Godavari basins (including East Coast Deepwaters).
Eductation
1) Master of Science(M.Sc) degree in Geology, May 1985 from THE UNIVERSITY OF BURDWAN, WEST BENGAL, INDIA
2) Joined a research project on “Paleotectonics and Paleohydraulics of selected Gondwana Basins�. Carried out field mapping and statistical data analysis to study the cyclicity of Lower Gondwana sedimentation in a few Damodar Valley Basins, at IIT, KHARAGPUR, INDIA. (Had to be abandoned on joining the present job).
