Procurement Officer

Seeking a suitable position in purchasing/contract to cover my vast experience in electro mechanic material,oil/petroleum,purchasing,stores,general services, sourcing & pricing of construction & earthmoving equipment & material and camp support

procure material related to:
1.Minor construction and repair work i.e. Generator, & other spare parts, ballets, workshop & storage equipment & tools.
2.construction material: concrete, water, sand asphalt, paints, flooring, fire protection, piping, electrical lighting, mortar and masonry, septic tanks,
3.outsourcing, costing and helping the projects coordinator in procuring material require for modular facilities i.e. latrines, shower units, laundry units, kitchen equipments, fencing and dining halls locally & internationally. In addition, good experience in sourcing out military tools and tents locally and internationally.

GSCS has recently established new service of catering and food service to support its current projects in the Middle east, and I am assigned to assess and support the projects operation in purchasing, PR and logistic coordination; as Purchasing Specialist : Responsible for efficient purchasing of stock, supplies and capital equipment for the company. Receives Purchase Requisitions and verifies for accuracy and authorization(s). Sources new vendors when necessary.

Prepares and issues PO; determines and negotiates prices, delivery and credit terms; buys according to the company policies and procedures; maintains accurate P.O records. Responsible for evaluating, assessing and selecting vendors based on capabilities, performance and consistent quality assurance. Maintains vendor relationship files; keeps accurate vendor records.

Evaluates inventory reorder levels and quantity price breaks to determine most economical purchasing of inventory and supplies in relationship to company's cost of capital.

Expedites POs as necessary and ensures delivery of purchased items for uninterrupted manufacturing flow. Performs other purchasing or inventory control duties as necessary or as requested

• TOEFL Degree (prep year of English and time management system from Syrian virtual university in year 2002)
• Undergraduate degree of E-Business application from Syrian Virtual University (Dubai-Damascus) www.svuonline.org
• Diploma in electro mechanic engineering from Damascus.
• GCE, High school, science 1997.

• SPSM Certificate (Senior Professional in Supply Management) from Next Level Purchasing Institute- November 2006.
• ISO-9000-2001 certificate of awareness.

• Able to independently maintain full set of procurement according to the company Standards and regulations, management System, Costing and Forecast the future expenses of a project.
• Able to examine, analyze all purchases of raw material, fixed assets & others. Understand internal control, conducting system review with the objective of recommending improvements
• Able to plan, organize and implement several projects simultaneously, and meeting the targets with quality by giving close attention to each assignment.
• Able to manage the people, screening the right people at the right jobs and provide training to build a high performing team to achieve quality results.
