COMMISSIONING/OPERATIONS ENGINEER

To WORK in a growth oriented company which utilizes all my skills in the field of Chemical Engineering, operations, project planning, monitoring and execution activities, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, process trouble shooting etc.

Present job function:
•Currently I am working in RELIANCE INDUSTRIES LTD., JAMNAGAR REFINERY DIVISION as a Shift Superintendent in Hydrogen Complex. III am handling following TWELVE units INDEPENDTLY during shift operation.
1.Two Hydrogen Units with a capacity of 84,000 Nm3/hr each having STEAM REFORMING process.
2.Refinery Fuel Gas Unit where all sat & unsat gas collected & distributed in to whole Refinery with LPG backup system.
3.Hydrogen compression unit
4.Light Naphtha Hydrotreater ( Saturation of Olefins & Sulfur removal) having capacity of 29000 BPST
5.Sat & Unsat LPG Merox Units (Three Units) having capacity of 60000 BPSD each
6.Gasoline Merox Unit having capacity of 60000 BPSD.
7.Kerosene Merox Unit (Two) having capacity of 35000 BPSD each.
8.HP/LP/LLP flare system connected with total refinery including tank farm.

•In all above units I am looking after trouble shooting, optimization of process parameters to minimize energy consumption, quality monitoring, suggestions for plant improvements, Start-up & Shut down etc.
•During Shift operation I am handling manpower of 11 people which includes panel officer (DCS), field shift engineer & field operators.
•I have complete knowledge of Latest DCS & PLC system.

Highlights of Experience:
•About 12 years of comprehensive experience of Hydrogen based, 1350 MTPD Ammonia & Cryogenic plant operations in M/s GSFC Ltd., Vadodara, India which includes project stage work, pre-commissioning/commissioning of the plant, normal plant operations, de-bottlenecking and stabilization.I was Associated with 1350 MTPD HYDROGEN/AMMONIA Project (Linde Ammonia Concept based technology) of M/s GSFC Limited, Vadodara from zero date and handled various assignments like checking of P&IDs, procurement of process related items (e.g. pressure vessels etc)Co-ordination with the technology suppliers, detail-engineering contractor, vendors, various services departments (e.g. mechanical, electrical, instruments etc) during project stage and subsequent pre-commissioning/commissioning activities.
•Pre-commissioning/commissioning of a-MDEA based CO2 removal system.
•Commissioning of 25 MW Turbo Generator unit (ABB turbine & AEG generator).
•Preparation of Operating manuals and training of field/DCS operators
•Directing & guiding activities of operation team consisting of field & DCS operators.

Educational Qualifications & personal details:
• Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from Gujarat University with first class distinction from the year 1993.

• Appreciation certificate for fire & rescue Mockdrill & safety quiz.
• Appreciation certificates for the various suggestions, which have improved the plant performance.
• Certificate for Internal Auditor for ISO9001: 2000.

Computer Literacy & Communication skills:
• In depth knowledge of MS office (word/excel/power point) for application in plant performance monitoring.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with various engineering contractors/suppliers/inter department co-ordination etc.
